The State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) is looking for a Senior DevOps Lead to deliver and maintain software infrastructure, processes, and tools to ensure seamless delivery of software implementing best practices for continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
You will be joining the Digital Team. The team is central to SIRA's purpose of ensuring NSW insurance schemes protect and support the people who need them, now and in the future.

About Us
This is an exciting opportunity to work in our State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) who regulates three statutory insurance schemes in NSW. This role sits more specifically in our Digital team. As the Digital team, our mission is to lead SIRA's digital transformation, helping it become a smarter, more efficient and cyber secure regulator. We create user-friendly systems and services that are accessible to everyone.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement DevOps strategies, processes and technologies that improve software quality, reliability, and scalability in collaboration with the stakeholders
- Manage and monitor the continuous integration and deployment pipelines, ensuring that software is tested and deployed efficiently and effectively
- Ensure that security, compliance, and performance requirements are met throughout the development and deployment process
- Provide coaching and mentoring and direct support to internal and external teams during various operations, such as deployment and general production operational issues to produce efficient and effective services
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between development and support operations teams to ensure smooth handover of code from development to operations
- Drive the adoption of best practices, such as infrastructure as automated deployment and testing.
About you:
- A strong Senior DevOps Lead who is willing to lead and deliver a pivotal transformation in software development and operations practice
- A great communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- A genuine interest in using digital to improve services to the people of NSW through the State's insurance compensation schemes
- ITIL Certified, or has good understanding of release management and change management
- Experience in Salesforce, Azure DevOps, GitHub, bash, python and automated testing is desirable
