Workshop Supervisor - Civil

Core Talent are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Workshop Supervisor to join a leading company specialising in road construction and maintenance. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a hands-on role, leading a small team to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a small, skilled team of technicians
• Oversee the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and operational procedures
• Manage workshop scheduling, resources, and stock control
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members
• Maintain strong communication with external contractors and clients to ensure timely project delivery
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimise downtime
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively and efficiently

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Supervisor role, within heavy machinery (excavators, loaders, skid steers, profiling machines)
• Hands-on experience with repairs and maintenance of mechanical equipment
• Cert 3 as a fitter or similar technical trade qualification would be highly desirable
• Excellent organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
