Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Accounts Officer to join our close-knit team. This position is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounts receivable and payable, and supporting business operations. The role reports directly to the Director and includes coordination with our warehouse team.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Management

Manage accounts receivable: invoice customers, monitor outstanding debts, follow up on overdue accounts and issue EOM statements.

Handle accounts payable: reconcile and process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.

Perform monthly bank reconciliations.

Operational Support

Liaise with the warehouse team to ensure the accuracy of orders being packed and dispatched.

Communicate with transport providers to coordinate deliveries.

Produce and maintain monthly stock reports, reporting weekly on low stock levels to the director.

Reporting & Compliance

Maintain accurate and up-to-date supplier/customer records

Support internal improvements across financial and operational systems

Ensure timely reporting and accurate documentation for internal and external stakeholders

Key Requirements

Proven experience in accounts receivable/payable and general bookkeeping

Strong knowledge of bank reconciliations

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to produce clear, accurate reports, including inventory or stock data

Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred) and Microsoft Excel
