Project Officer – Business Case Development

• Location: 4 Parramatta Square with hybrid work-from-home arrangements
• Rate: $550/day + super (PAYG)
• Duration: 6 months contract (immediate start)
• Hours: 8 Hours Per Day - 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Project Officer with a strong background in business case development and public sector financial processes? Join a high-performing team within a NSW Government agency and play a key role in delivering impactful proposals and submissions.

About the Role We are seeking a Project Officer to support the development of business cases and financial submissions in line with Treasury and Government guidelines. You will work closely with program directors and project teams to ensure best-practice financial modelling, assurance processes, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with directorates and project teams to guide and support NPP processes
• Assist in developing preliminary and final business case proposals, including impact assessments
• Analyse and verify data to ensure accuracy and completeness throughout the NPP lifecycle
• Coordinate Gateway Assurance processes and liaise with the Gateway Coordination Agency (GCA)
• Provide feedback on draft business cases, cabinet submissions, and policy guidelines
• Develop robust financial models to support decision-making
• Prepare and submit Cabinet/ERC documents and Final Budget Proposals (FBP) in PRIME

About You

• Strong understanding of Treasury guidelines and government financial processes
• Proven experience developing business cases and financial documentation
• Excellent analytical and written communication skills
• Experience coordinating assurance or audit-related activities highly regarded
• Public sector experience preferred
