Join a well-known business in North Geelong on a full-time, permanent basis as a Workshop Manager. This company specialises in providing a range of services and products, often related to industrial and engineering supplies. Beginning as a small operation, it has expanded and grown significantly over the years, expanding both its workforce and facilities.

About the Role

In your new role as a Workshop Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and will manage a team of 12 on the floor.

• Quality Control: Oversee the inspection and testing of products or services to ensure they meet quality standards
• Customer Relations: Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Inventory Management: Manage the inventory of tools, parts, and equipment - order new supplies as needed
• Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations, maintaining a safe work environment
• Manage Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of workshop personnel, including hiring, training and evaluating staff performance

Skills & Experience

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have experience in a Workshop Manager or Supervisor role and will have strong people-management skills.

The ideal candidate would have -

• Experience in a management role within a workshop - junior applicants also welcome!
• Skilled in estimation, project management and team management
• Trade-qualified or engineering qualified
