Ayan Infotech urgently requires a Network Security Architect (telecommunications) to undertake an initial 6-month contract in Sydney.

You will play a critical role in assessing and enhancing the network security posture of a large telecommunications environment. This position requires proven experience in the telecommunications sector, as you will be responsible for conducting high-level security reviews and identifying opportunities for improvement and uplift across complex network infrastructures.

• Network Design and Implementation: Architectural design, high-level and low-level design of an IP network in telco industry.
• Developing and Implementing Security Architecture.
• Telecom security architects design the overall security framework for the network, including the selection and deployment of security technologies and controls.
• Network Security: Design and Implementing network security policies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and network access control (NAC).
• Documentation and Standardization: Documenting network configurations, procedures, and policies, and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Collaboration: Working with other network designers, solution architects, and business stakeholders to ensure network requirements are met.
• Review and assess the current state of the IT architecture and existing security controls.
• Perform threat modeling activities to support the solution design process and identify opportunities for improving the posture of existing systems.
• Design and implement enterprise security architecture across network, application, and cloud environments.
• Integrate appropriate security controls and technologies into enterprise systems, including cloud platforms and on-premises infrastructure.
• Recommend and support the remediation of identified vulnerabilities and architectural gaps
• Developed a comprehensive suite of documents encompassing cyber security standards, procedures, frameworks, and processes.
• Conducted comprehensive maturity assessments against VPDSS, ISM, and Essential 8 standards.
• Identified technical, logical, and administrative security gaps, ensuring a thorough understanding of the current security posture.
• Developed a three-year cybersecurity strategy addressing identified gaps, aligned with the NIST cybersecurity framework.
• Created a Security Architecture Catalogue to outline and communicate team services.
• Conducted threat and risk assessments on legacy systems, developing standardized processes and templates for ongoing evaluations.
• CCIE, CISSP, CCSP, CISM & PCNSE certifications and hands-on experience.
