About the engagement:
Green Light is partnering up with a leading company to engage Network DC Engineer to support a large-scale Data Centre Refresh Project. These are hands-on roles focused on deployment, installation, and configuration, ideal for engineers who enjoy working with enterprise-grade infrastructure in both data centre and branch environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the implementation of a DC refresh project across multiple sites.
• Rack, stack, and cable network equipment according to provided designs.
• Perform configuration and deployment of Cisco network equipment, F5 load balancers, and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Execute network installations including SD-WAN and routing/switching setups.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth deployment and minimal downtime.
• Occasionally attend branch/banking sites for basic hardware installs or troubleshooting.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with prescribed guidelines, security protocols, and project timelines.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Cisco Routing & Switching (CCNA/CCNP preferred).
• Hands-on experience with F5 Load Balancers and Palo Alto Firewalls.
• Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies.
• Experience in physical hardware installation, racking, stacking, and patching.
• Solid understanding of data centre environments and network infrastructure.
• Previous experience in banking or financial environments (nice to have).
• Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to travel to data centre or branch locations as needed.

Work Locations:

• 1x Engineer preferred in Newcastle
• 1x Engineer preferred in Sydney CBD
  (Note: Some coordination with the data centre provider in Sydney will be required.)
