About the Role
This is a fast-paced, high-volume position ideal for someone looking to grow their career in finance or lending. You'll be supporting the Business Development and Account Management teams to process customer applications from initial enquiry through to funding all while ensuring a seamless and professional experience for clients and partners.
During quieter periods, you'll be expected to proactively make outbound calls to potential partners to profile leads, encourage engagement and support the wider team.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to ensure a seamless end-to-end application process for customers.
- Prepare, manage and review application files, working closely with internal departments to drive timely outcomes.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, gathering any additional information needed to progress applications.
- Provide regular updates to customers on the status of their submissions, keeping them informed and supported throughout the process.
- Coordinate the collection and submission of final documentation to meet approval requirements.
- Manage applications during key review stages, ensuring all documents are verified and compliant.
- Confidently navigate customer queries or concerns, finding solutions and delivering a great experience.
- Keep data and application records accurate and up to date in the CRM system.
- Proactively follow up on leads and maintain a healthy, active pipeline each day.
- Ensure processes align with compliance standards and internal guidelines.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with both clients and key business partners to support long-term growth.
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a commercial or small business finance environment, ideally within equipment finance or a related sector.
- Exposure to working with third-party channels or referral networks is highly regarded.
- Brings high energy, genuine enthusiasm, and a strong drive to deliver excellent results.
- A confident and personable communicator with a natural ability to engage with others.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to ownership and follow-through.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
- Recognised for being a reliable and trusted partner to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and approachable style.
