Technical Assistant – Projects & Service

Role Description

Purpose of this role

· To assist with the installation, configuration and maintenance of Commercial Lighting Control systems.

· To assist in providing technical support and service maintenance for installed solutions as required.

· To continue training to meet the needs of the company as required.

Working Relationships

Reports to: Operations Manager.

Direct Reports: WA Manager.

· Peer Relationship: Work closely with all Networks Staff and Nilsen Electrical staff as required.

· Customer Relationships: Build close customer relations with a focus on re-occurring maintenance opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

· Preliminary design, and programming of Lighting Control Systems.

· Assist Project Managers and Service staff with site activity.

· Assist with projects and services to ensure safe and profitable outcomes for Nilsen Networks.

· Assist with analysis of Lighting Control Systems as required.

· Assist with tendering and estimate preparations, including maintenance of drawing packages.

· Test, investigate and analyse Lighting Control products as required and report on system performance.

Required Qualifications

· Must demonstrate a technical aptitude

· Demonstrate a basic understanding of MS Office

· Must obtain a Construction Induction Safety certificate (White Card).

· Must possess a current driver’s license.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience

This role will suit an enthusiast who may lack formal qualifications and experience but demonstrates technical aptitude and a desire to learn.
