G&E Automotive Services, a well-established automotive repair andmaintenance business, is seeking an experienced Mechanic 2ic / Foreman (LeadTechnician) to join their team in Koo Wee Rup, Victoria. This is a full-timerole with opportunities for career growth and development.

Key responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including coordinating technicians, prioritising jobs, and ensuring efficient workflow

Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle makes and models, leveraging your technical expertise to provide high-quality service

Delegate tasks to technicians, provide guidance and support, and ensure work is completed to the highest standards

Maintain detailed records of all work performed, including parts used and labour hours

Assist with customer service, liaising with clients to understand their needs and provide transparent updates on the status of their vehicles

Contribute to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and procedures

Mentor and train junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a qualified mechanic with a strong background in the automotive industry

Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with the ability to effectively manage a team of technicians

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify and resolve complex issues

Comprehensive knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and electronic components

Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to communicate technical information to clients in a clear and understandable manner

Commitment to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with the latest automotive technologies and industry best practices

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines

Valid Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent qualification

Current Victorian driver's licence

Proficiency with modern diagnostic tools and software (e.g., OBD scanners, manufacturer-specific diagnostic equipment)
