Opportunity

Kieser is proud to bring a new model of care to Newcastle in partnership with the new King St Private Hospital. As a fully integrated partner, Kieser Newcastle will oversee the entire patient journey, delivering high-quality pre-operative, inpatient, and outpatient care for orthopaedic, spinal, and pain patients.

We’re now seeking an Exercise Scientist to join our team. This role supports both hospital patients and the wider community, helping clients achieve long-term health and rehabilitation outcomes through evidence-based strength training.

Whether you're working with a post-operative patient or client focused on improving their strength and longevity, you will combine your exercise science expertise with Kieser's approach to support them in returning to the activities they love most. Responsibilities include:

• Actively engage on the training floor by conducting 1:1 and group sessions, strength assessments, and movement analysis with clients
• Apply scientific concepts (biomechanics, physiology, sports psychology, motor control) and evidence-based practices to support clients
• Provide evidence-based advice on health, fitness, well-being, and physical performance
• Develop and implement exercise prescriptions and plans for clients
• Establish, assess, and reassess goals for new and long-term clients
• Guide athletes or clients with fitness goals to achieve peak performance and recover from injury
• Complete a range of administrative duties
• Consistently deliver high-quality service in accordance with Kieser standards

Qualifications & Certifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science or a related field
• Valid working rights in Australia
• First Aid & CPR Certification
• Working with Children Check
• National Police Check

Desirable:

• Minimum 1-2 years relevant work experience
• Previous private practice experience
• Previous experience with long term management of client outcomes in a strength training environment
