About the Position

Are you an experienced Accountant looking to make your mark in a leading healthcare provider? Our client, based in Bulimba, is seeking an Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will provide bookkeeping and accounting support to our clients growing practice. The role will also be responsible for payroll of currently 15 employees with a rapid growth expected in quick succession.

The key responsibilities of the Accountant are:

• Processing client invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintaining the general ledger and performing monthly bank reconciliations
• Preparing and presenting monthly management accounts using Xero accounting software.
• Preparing and lodging business activity statements as required
• Preparing and reconciling monthly Home Care Package claim for client services and expenses within company software.
• Processing HICAP payments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting of business administration
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in bookkeeping, administration, and accounting roles with payroll
• Experience working in an allied health practice (desirable)
• Must have an Australian drivers licence
• Experience working with accounting software such as Xero
