- Eligible health practitioners entitled to accrue an additional three days professional development leave per annum, resulting in a total of six days professional development leave per annum.
- Eligible health practitioners working in designated remote areas will be entitled to a professional development allowance of $3,512.00 per annum.
- Rural and Remote incentive: Category D allowance of $431.22 p.f.

About the role
The NWHHS Allied Health Services include Clinical Measurements, Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech and Hearing, Pharmacy and Podiatry with a visiting Orthotics service. These professional teams provide a multidisciplinary approach to service delivery to the NWHHS, delivering Level 4 moderate complex inpatient, outpatient, and child development services within the Mount Isa Hospital.
The purpose of this position is to support, advise and deliver allied health clinical education and training initiatives across the Allied Health Service. .
Requirements
- Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences (Please refer to Role Description for further details).
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
- A period of probation may apply.
