Client Services and Adviser Support – 3 Days a Week, Flexible Hours

This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a structured, professional environment and is looking to balance that with flexibility and autonomy.

Join a boutique financial planning firm with a reputation for personalised service and well-established client relationships. With around 150 private clients, serviced by two Advisers, the business is mature, efficient and quietly excellent — delivering high-quality advice underpinned by model portfolios and research-led strategies.

The Role

This is a hands-on position supporting both Advisers and clients. The primary focus is preparing detailed, data-driven review reports and managing key parts of the advice process, including trades, reporting and documentation.

You will be joining a small, experienced team where initiative, reliability and a high level of care are expected and appreciated. The role suits someone who enjoys working with data, understands the importance of accuracy and takes pride in delivering work that helps the broader team succeed.

This is a permanent part-time role (three days per week), with flexibility to spread those hours across the week by agreement. You will initially work in the office while learning the systems and client expectations, with scope to transition to a hybrid model once established.

Key Responsibilities

Annual Review Reporting: Prepare structured client review reports using established Excel and Word-based templates.

Trade Execution & Reconciliation: Process client-authorised trades, reconcile portfolios and send follow-up correspondence.

Cashflow Management: Monitor and maintain monthly client cashflow requirements.

Advice Implementation: Coordinate advice actions including contributions, rollovers and pension commencements.

New Account Setup: Complete new platform and bank account applications, ensuring KYC and AML compliance.

Client Queries & Liaison: Respond to client and adviser queries and liaise with accountants or other professionals as needed.

Platform Support: Troubleshoot and follow up on issues with platform providers.

Office Support: Assist with general client service and administrative duties including phone calls and meeting logistics.

About You

Industry Knowledge: Experience in financial planning, superannuation or banking administration.

Tech Skills: Confident with Excel and Word, including working with templates, data, and mail merges.

Detail Focused: Comfortable working with numbers, reports and data accuracy.

Well Organised: Able to manage time and competing tasks without constant supervision.

Team Player: Takes initiative, solves problems and communicates clearly with colleagues and clients.
