Your responsibilities will include:
Personalised Care: Providing support with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance, tailored to the individual's needs and preferences.
Emotional Support: Offering companionship, empathy, and encouragement to promote emotional well-being and mental health.
Advocacy: Advocating for the rights and interests of individuals with disabilities, ensuring they access necessary resources, services, and opportunities.
Skill Development: Assisting in developing life skills, independence, and social integration through training and guidance.
Communication: Maintaining clear and respectful communication with individuals, their families, caregivers, and other support professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective teamwork.
Safety: Ensuring a safe environment by identifying and mitigating risks, implementing safety protocols, and responding promptly to emergencies.
Documentation: Accurately documenting observations, interventions, and progress reports according to organisational guidelines and legal requirements.
Community Engagement: Facilitating participation in community activities, outings, and events to foster social connections and inclusion.
Required Skill :
PEG Feed (preferable)
Hoist Transfer (preferable)
Full drivers Licence and willing to drive Wheelchair accessible Van
Handle complex behavior client
Required Documents
Relevant qualifications such as a Certificate III or IV in Disability Support or equivalent, and/or prior experience in disability support or a related field.
Current First Aid/CPR Certificates.
Current NT Driver's License. ( Must have experience in driving wheelchair-accessible van)
Current Working with Children’s Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Job Types: Full-time/ Part-time/ Casual
Pay: $35.00 – $39.00 per hour
Schedule:
24/7 availablity for shift

National Police Certificate (Required)
Driver Licence (Required)
Work Authorisation:
Candidates must have legal working rights in Australia. Additionally, applicants should either be based in Darwin or have a clear plan to relocate to Darwin.
Work Location: In person
Expected Start Date: Immediately.
