Due to a new system implementation they are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Specialist to join their small team on a fixed-term basis for 6 months (potential to extend) to assist during the transition.

About the role:

Reporting into the Payroll Manager this role will entail supporting the Payroll Manager with project work while they roll out the new system and support with UAT and other project work. The ideal candidate will have solid tenure within payroll and will be able to act as a backup for the manager and provide support and impart knowledge to the team when required. Your duties will include:

• Participate in ongoing improvement and standardisation of payroll operations, systems, and procedures
• Participate in the new payroll system rollout
• Assist in preparing end-of-month reconciliations
• Ensure prompt maintenance of staff records, timely filing, and archiving according to company retention policy
• Assist in integrating payroll functions for acquired businesses

About you:

• 5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Solid UAT experience
• Full and unlimited Australian working rights
