About your new role
Are you ready to take the City of Gold Coast forward with data-driven people and position insights?
An exciting opportunity has become available for 12 months in the City’s Chief People Office. The Workforce Data Analyst will develop and deliver business improvements across a range of systems and functions, supporting more informed people and position reporting.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing enhanced reporting systems. The Workforce Data Analyst will work closely with the City’s People branch to provide technical and analytical support to gather, analyse, and disseminate data informing operational performance.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop reports to provide insights into historical data and forecasting trends.
• Contribute to BI solution development, ensuring data integrity and usability.
• Test data solutions and communicate system updates effectively.
• Perform data extraction and analysis including data modelling and statistical analysis to assist with data-driven decision-making.
• Assist in the development of written reports, infographics and presentations detailing the findings of analysis conducted for various projects.
• Analyse and configure information systems to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and optimised for operational needs.
• Develop and maintain protocols to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across systems.
• Conduct regular and various audits across multiple data streams to ensure accuracy and/or work with teams to rectify data discrepancies.
• Explore and deliver continuous improvements in resource tracking and forecasting that delivers value to the City.
We're looking for people who have:
• Demonstrated experience in administering and analysing a range of human resources data.
• Extensive business analysis / data analytical experience.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; with Power BI skills highly regarded.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to problem solve and understand customer needs.
• High level verbal and written communication and the ability to present information clearly for a range of audiences.
• A collaborative approach and the ability to consult with and influence stakeholders effectively.
