About the Role:
Are you a detail-oriented Data Analyst with a passion for uncovering insights from complex data? We're looking for a Geotechnical Data Analyst to join our team in Brendale, QLD. Reporting to the Lead Geotechnical Data Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in processing, analysing, and interpreting data from our state-of-the-art geotechnical monitoring systems.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology like our proprietary Cave Management System (CTMS) and GeoHive software. You'll be instrumental in generating valuable reports, contributing to enhanced data analysis capabilities, and providing confident, data-driven insights that directly benefit our clients. What You Will Be Doing:
Process and analyse data from various geotechnical monitoring systems.
Configure and operate proprietary software to calculate movement and generate reports.
Maintain meticulous records of data analysis processes, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
Assist in creating high-quality technical reports, dashboards, and visualisations for internal and external stakeholders.
Interpret data to identify trends, potential areas of interest, and promptly escalate critical findings.
Collaborate closely with the Lead Geotechnical Data Analyst and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate data delivery.
Contribute to process improvement and innovation, including suggesting new tools and helping automate tasks.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in data science, Geotechnical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Proven experience in data analysis, preferably in a technical or scientific environment.
Proficiency in data processing and analysis tools.
Strong ability to interpret data and translate it into clear, concise reports.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A strong eagerness to learn and effectively utilise new software, including proprietary systems like CTMS.
Experience in the mining or related industry, particularly with underground monitoring systems, is a plus but not essential.
A basic understanding of geotechnical or rock mechanics principles is desirable.
