Short Description
Join a leading exploration team as a Project Geologist and contribute to one of WA’s major iron ore projects. This field-based role offers hands-on involvement in RC and diamond drilling programs, mapping, and data analysis.

About the Position
As a Project Geologist, you’ll assist in delivering exploration programs across the West Pilbara region, working closely with senior geologists and multidisciplinary teams. You’ll play a key role in data collection, analysis, and reporting for ongoing resource definition and development.
Duties include:
Assist with field mapping, geological logging, and sampling activities
Supervise drilling programs and contractors
Log and manage RC and diamond drill data using geological software
Participate in site safety meetings and contribute to a strong HSE culture
Prepare technical documentation including maps and exploration reports
Coordinate with heritage and environmental teams during surveys
Key Responsibilities Include
Deliver exploration programs within scope, budget, and timelines
Capture high-quality geological and geotechnical data
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards
Maintain strong communication with site teams and stakeholders
Supervise and liaise with external contractors and consultants
Skills and Experience Required
Bachelor’s degree in Geoscience or related field
Minimum 3 years in exploration or mining geology, preferably in iron ore
Proven ability to work in remote field environments
Strong understanding of drilling operations and QA/QC processes
Proficient in geological software (e.g. Micromine, Leapfrog, ArcGIS/QGIS)
Manual C Class driver’s licence and Senior First Aid certificate
Completed 4WD training in the last 5 years
