Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator
Wangaratta, VIC | Full Time, Permanent | $95,054 - $105,047 per annum + Super

Lead with Purpose. Live with Balance.

Are you ready to take your safety expertise to the next level—not just ticking boxes, but transforming culture?

At the Rural City of Wangaratta, we’re not looking for someone to maintain the status quo. We’re looking for a leader—someone who’s excited to embed wellbeing into everything we do, challenge the way things have always been done, and leave a lasting legacy.

This isn’t just another job. It’s your chance to shape a safety-first culture in a progressive, people-first organisation that genuinely values your voice.

🔍 About the Role

As our Safety & Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll be the driving force behind our safety strategy—coaching teams, advising leaders, and fostering a culture where everyone feels supported and protected.

You’ll:

Lead a motivated safety team and partner with leaders across the organisation

Build and implement frameworks that create lasting change

Roll out innovative training programs that actually stick

Turn strategy into action—and action into results

Be part of something bigger: protecting people and creating workplaces where everyone thrives

🏞️ Why You’ll Love Wangaratta

Imagine finishing work and heading straight to the bush trails, snowfields, or a local winery. Living in Wangaratta means:

Vibrant, welcoming community

Affordable living and no peak-hour traffic

Close to major cities, with the serenity of nature

A lifestyle that lets you breathe while you build your career

💡 What’s in it for You?

We’re not just offering a role—we’re offering a better way to work and live:

✅ Flexible hours + work-life balance that actually works
✅ Professional development & training tailored to your goals
✅ Wellbeing perks: reduced gym, flu shots, and free EAP support
✅ A team that values your ideas and celebrates your wins
✅ Purpose. Impact. Respect.

📣 Who We’re Looking For

You're a natural communicator, a strategic thinker, and you genuinely care about people. You're experienced in OHS, confident leading change, and you're ready to bring energy and innovation to the table.

If you're passionate about making workplaces safer—and want to do it in a place where your lifestyle matters too—this is your role.

Applications close at 3pm on Monday, 14 July 2025.
