Our family run business requires a lead hand or yard manager to oversee the day to day operations of our busy Portsmith recycling facility.

About the role:

A mixture of physical hands on and admin work is required for this position.

People management is critical, customer service and relations are a must in this fast paced role. Overseeing the coordination and operation of approximately 10 staff across a 7 day roster.

Ensuring OHS and company policy is followed and enforced, keeping a high standard of a safe, operational site for both staff and visiting customers.

Communicate with other lead hands across our network and report to the Operations Manager as necessary.

Basic computer and mathematics are required, with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all we do.

Provide daily, tailored run sheets for our trucks, managing incoming and outgoing product via various apps.

Maintain ongoing relationships with our customers and control the business email accounts with a friendly, professional representation.

This position is offered as a full time role of 38 hours, with ability to accrue over time and increase earnings.
