The Role & The Team

A Workforce Deployment Rostering Officer is required to deliver an efficient and effective workforce deployment rostering service to operations in relation to the timely and correct development, publication, and maintenance of rosters. This role takes ownership of and champions the end-to-end workforce deployment rostering services for allocated roster groups, utilising all available resources, systems and tools whilst striving for a high level of service quality and continuous improvement.

Benefits Salary starting from $88,658 plus 14% employer’s contribution to superannuation.

The Person

We are looking for the right person to efficiently managing workforce deployment and rostering for Airservices Australia. Responsibilities include developing, optimizing, and maintaining high-quality rosters, adhering to guidelines, and interacting with various software systems. The role also includes generating staffing plans, producing reports, and implementing changes to staff placements. Maximizing resource utilization, minimizing staffing costs, and identifying areas for efficiency are key. Building productive relationships, seeking feedback, and facilitating team performance improvements are essential in people management. The individual must prioritize workload, ensure high customer satisfaction, and comply with safety strategies, delivering Flight and Duty Time Limitations (FRMS) compliant strategic rosters.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate should have expertise in ATC rostering complexities and human resource guidelines, strong computer skills, initiative to challenge existing practices, effective communication and interpersonal skills, organizational and problem-solving abilities, and a focus on providing excellent customer service while striving for operational excellence.
