Neighbourhood Hub Macarthur’s mobile child care service, Macarthur Care Pair (MCP), are looking for passionate and enthusiastic people to join our small team.

As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain experience while working in a unique and diverse role with children and families, enhancing their connections within our community.

Managed by Neighbourhood Hub Macarthur, Macarthur Care Pair is funded by the Department of Education under the Start Strong Pathways Grants. The service aims to help support the early learning needs and expand the social horizons of children within our community.

Please note: We are a mobile child care service, We are NOT a child care centre.

The Macarthur Care Pair service provides child care, in the way of play sessions and playgroups, to not-for-profit organisations within our local community and surrounds. Each term the MCP service accepts bookings from services within our community to provide child care for their programmed sessions. We travel to these venues taking all equipment required to provide an engaging and positive child care experience.

Each session runs for between 2-4 hours, and rostered hours and days will vary due to demand for the service and staff availabilities. We only offer play sessions / playgroups during NSW school terms, and do not operate on pupil free days, teachers strike days or public holidays.

Your responsibilities will include:

Travelling to various services within our community.

Planning and implementing child friendly environments.

Nurturing and guiding children’s play during sessions.

Working independently and as part of a team.

Being able to work with minimal supervision.

Complying with Neighbourhood Hub Macarthur’s Policies and Procedures.

Essential criteria:

Have experience working with children or a willingness to learn.

Have knowledge of child development.

Current Working with Children Check.

National Police Check.

Current NSW Driver’s license.

Own vehicle and comprehensive insurance.

Current First Aid Certificate or be willing to obtain.

Salary and employment conditions are in accordance with the Children’s Services Award 2010.
