The Role

Searching for a floor supervisor or host with a deep passion for wine, a charismatic floor presence, and the desire to step into a sommelier role? This is your opportunity to work alongside an acclaimed Head Sommelier and be mentored in a venue where wine is not just served; it’s celebrated.

You’ll bring charm, confidence, and a thirst for knowledge to a collaborative team that shares a clear vision to create a thoughtful, dynamic, and guest-focused wine experience. This is both a leadership and learning role, providing a rare bridge between front-of-house finesse and behind-the-scenes wine strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide thoughtful wine recommendations and elevate guest experiences
• Share your wine knowledge and enthusiasm with charm and confidence
• Contribute to a 470+ label program focused on Australian, NZ, and European selections
• Deliver engaging wine education sessions and mentor junior staff
• Guide wine service standards including pouring techniques, glassware, and guest interaction
• Support cellar operations including inventory, ordering, and supplier coordination

About You

You bring a strong background in service, with hands-on leadership experience on the floor or in high-end hosting roles. Calm under pressure and warm in your delivery, you're confident engaging with sophisticated guests and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Your enthusiasm for wine is evident in everything you do, and you're eager to take your knowledge to the next level. With a natural flair for training and mentoring, you enjoy uplifting those around you and setting high standards in service. Whether you're already WSET II certified or currently studying, you're ready to step fully into a sommelier pathway with the support of a seasoned team.
