Set across two levels and seating 70 guests, Vineria Luisa blends the energy of a buzzing Italian vineria with the ease and intimacy of your favourite local. Think thoughtful hospitality, seasonal menus, a serious wine list, and a room full of regulars and theatre-goers.
We’re seeking passionate hospitality professionals to join our opening team in a dual Section Waiter / Sommelier role. Our ideal candidate is charming, guest-focused, and knowledgeable, with a love for Italian food and wine. You'll help deliver warm, polished service across à la carte dining, group bookings, and neighbourhood events.
Essential Requirements
Full Australian working rights
Current NSW RSA Certificate
12–36 months of premium dining experience
Fluent English communication
Confident food & wine pairing ability
Experience with POS systems
WSET Level 2 (or equivalent) preferred
Impeccable grooming and personal presentation
Calm, professional, and fast-paced under pressure
Preferred Skills
Formal hospitality training
Knowledge of Italian wine & cuisine
Familiarity with SevenRooms (or similar)
Italian language skills are a plus!
Key Responsibilities
Manage your own section and create a welcoming guest experience
Prepare your section pre-service to ensure everything is guest-ready
Confidently explain our food and wine philosophy
Recommend and serve thoughtful food and wine pairings
Accurately take and process orders
Manage dietary needs and communicate with the kitchen
Provide attentive drinks service and assist the team
Handle guest feedback with grace and efficiency
Process payments and ensure billing accuracy
Help reset tables and maintain service standards throughout
