THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Finance Coordinator to lead our finance operations and play a key role in shaping the financial strategy of the organisation. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and working closely with senior leadership, this role coordinates all key financial functions including reporting, budgeting, payroll, acquittals, and compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strategic financial leadership and collaborate closely with the COO to strengthen financial performance.
Manage day-to-day finance functions including payroll, payments, procurement, vendor relationships, and compliance.
Deliver timely and accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and funding acquittals.
Ensure financial systems, processes, and data are efficient, compliant, and aligned with organisational needs.
Conduct detailed financial analysis, resolve complex financial challenges, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the finance team to build a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
ABOUT YOU – SELECTION CRITERIA
Essential
Minimum 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles, including hands-on budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis.
Advanced communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under pressure.
High level of initiative, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
Experience in the NDIS or Aged Care sector.
Demonstrated confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism.
Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Xero or similar accounting software.
Desirable
CPA/CA qualifications (or working towards).
Previous experience with funding acquittals and working with government-funded programs.
