Friction Co T/A Warringah Brake and Clutch Centre are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Brookvale, NSW.

Warringah Brake and Clutch Centre are looking for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week (with occasional overtime), based in Brookvale on the northern beaches of Sydney.

MAIN DUTIES:

• Effectively complete general servicing on a wide range of heavy vehicles

• Carry out heavy vehicle diagnostics

• Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance services to heavy vehicles

• Dismantle and reassemble of heavy vehicle engines

• Repair, replace, and reassemble parts for heavy vehicles

• Test and adjust heavy vehicle parts for good performance

QUALIFICATIONS:

For this position it is expected that you would possess the following :

• Heavy vehicle mechanic certificate III or equivalent AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)

• A minimum of 1 years experience working on heavy vehicles

• C manual and HR license desirable

• Strong work ethic and highly motivated

• Must have numerous years of previous experience

• Excellent problem solving and diagnosis skills

• Good communication skills

• Knowledge of workshop practices and WHS standards

• Dedication to quality workmanship and safe practices
