Your Impact: Accounts Payable Manager
We’re looking for a team player who is driven by the continuous improvement of accounts payable metrics and leading optimum team performance. Working collaboratively with the wider Finance Shared Services team, this role is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable team through the efficient and accurate execution of daily AP operations, while reviewing and analysing performance and process to drive operational improvements.
Reporting into the Head of Accounting, you will play a key role in month-end closing activities and provide regular reviews on AP KPIs and team performance. You will drive process enhancements through data analysis, lead technology upgrades when required, and support the development of team members through training and mentoring.
What You’ll Do
· Review and analyse key AP performance indicators on a regular basis, using insights to drive operational improvements and enhance service delivery,
· Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies, initiating change, and embedding best practices across AP processes
· Maintain and enhance the level of support provide to the business
· Lead the implementation and optimisation of AP-related technologies, ensuring systems are fit-for-purpose and scalable
· Promote strong team cohesion and alignment with stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and shared goals
· Provide clear direction and day-to-day leadership to the AP team, ensuring consistent delivery against service benchmarks and operational targets
· Support individual career growth and personal development through regular coaching, mentoring and access to learning opportunities
· Transaction processing aligned to vendor payment terms and authorised according to the Delegated Financial Authority policy
· Act as an additional AP resource during periods of absence and leave coverage
What You Bring
· Experience: Demonstrated experience in AP roles
· Digital Expertise: A solid background in implementing automation, specially OCR technology, and with large EPR systems
· People Leadership: An experienced Team Leader ready to take their next step and with a proven track record in implementing continuous change
· Attributes: A curious mind with an appetite to drive technological change, excellent attention to details and interpersonal skills, intermediate/advanced knowledge of Excel, team player who can work autonomously, ability to work to Service Level Agreements and deliver on commitments.
