This well-established, locally owned distribution business is seeking a mature, motivated and experienced finance/accounting professional to join their team. Located in Rutherford, the company has continued to expand and sees this role as a key appointment for them now and into the future.

About Your New Role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will become part of the senior management team. On a day-to-day basis, the majority of your financial challenges will include:

• Preparation of all Statutory, Financial & Management Reports
• Overseeing P&L
• Budget Preparation and Monitoring
• Cashflow Forecasting & Monitoring
• Cost Accounting
• Overseas currency transactions
• Liaison with external Accountants
• Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable management – remember this is a hands-on role

As this operation is lean and nimble, you will also need to be comfortable taking on some “non-financial” responsibilities including HR.

Although your main responsibility is to provide extensive support to the CEO regarding the business’ financials, it is also imperative that you work along other staff members to ensure all finance and administration functions run efficiently.

A Little About You & Your Experiences

Seeking a Company Accountant that enjoys the challenge of “hands on” responsibilities along with the complexities of working with operational staff, the key attributes/skills that will assist you to make a positive contribution within this organisation include:

• Highly developed communication, negotiation and influencing skills
• Patience and the ability to “demystify” complex financial data to non-financial staff
• Excellent attention to detail and personal confidence
• CA or CPA qualified
• Experience working with multi entity businesses

In addition, to be considered for this role you will possess a minimum of five years general finance/accounting experience in a similar position You will also be comfortable working with plenty or autonomy. Experience using MYOB EXO would be advantageous but not essential.

Remuneration & How To Apply

A realistic salary package will be negotiated with the successful candidate but as a guide only, a salary in the range of $110,000 to $130,000 plus superannuation can be expected.
