Estimating Manager – Geotechnical & Foundation Projects

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the tendering and estimating function across geotechnical and piling projects.
• Prepare, review, and submit accurate and competitive tenders – from scope analysis through to pricing and design.
• Produce or manage foundation design concepts for temporary and permanent works.
• Develop and maintain strong client and consultant relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Manage external design consultants and coordinate with internal engineering teams.
• Track tender performance, success rates, and maintain the internal estimating database.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers in the estimating and design process.
• Identify opportunities for innovation in design and delivery methods.

What You’ll Bring:

• ✅ Bachelor of Engineering (Civil or Geotechnical)
• ✅ 5+ years’ experience in estimating or design management within the civil or foundations sector
• ✅ Strong technical capability in geotechnical and structural design
• ✅ Proven ability to lead tender submissions and work-winning efforts
• ✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• ✅ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
• ✅ OHS General Induction Card

Desirable:

• Rail industry or infrastructure project experience
• Familiarity with estimating software and foundation design tools
• A proactive, collaborative, and commercially focused mindset
