The Role & Business

Working as an Estimator for a Tier 3 Builder, you will be reporting to experienced Directors and overseeing a cadet - one of the Directors is a well respected Pre-Con Manager in the industry and will provide mentorship while giving you the opportunity to run your own show. You will have the opportunity to go into Estimating Management in the future if you perform and make the position your own as the business grows. You will have the drive and ambition to help grow a business and reap the rewards of lucrative bonuses.

The Builder are a well recognised and respected within their project range of $500k - $15M and are growing across Fit-Out, Refurb and New Build projects. They pride themselves on team harmony, a strong culture and recognise people want to enjoy where they work and they are happy to facilitate as they feel this results in a productive workforce. The business hire on personality with the intention of investing heavily in training and mentoring so you can grow with the business long term - they are not a project to project company when it comes to hiring staff. This role will is part of a long term strategy for a competent Estimator.

You will be working on a range of projects so you will never be bored pricing the same types of jobs within Sydney. In this position as an established Estimator, you will play a key part in tendering and bid preparation on a variety of projects with the support of the management team. You will also enjoy the challenge of bringing in new work and being valued for your efforts.

Your key duties and skills required for the job will include:

Responsible for Submission of tenders up to $15M

Reporting directly to Senior Management - Directors

Confidence in summarising drawings

Reviewing & analysing subcontractor quotes

Ability to meet deadlines

High attention to detail

Ability to do own measuring

Ideally experience using CostX or Cubit

Liaising with subcontractors to attaining accurate pricing

Methodical and through approach

Sound fit-out, refurbishment and New Build industry knowledge working for the Head Contractor

Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Turning over in excess of $25M in NSW with opportunity for exponential growth this is a great opportunity for a driven Estimator who doesnt see themselves as a number in a Tier 1 /2 environment.

Qualifications & Experience

You will have finished a Bachelor of Construction Management, Civil Engineering or Construction Related Degree

You will have industry experience working for a recognised Head Contractor in Sydney

This role is applicable to someone who lives locally, wants to work in a good culture with flexibility - they want the right person who will stay long term and will consider an Estimator who has 3+ years post degree experience and will pay accordingly.
