Position Title: SAP BODS Principal Data Migration Analyst
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 12 months
Positions - 5
Pay Rate: 900 per day plus super
Hours of Work: 8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
Location: Sydney CBD
Hybrid working arrangements - The successful candidate will be required to attend the office 2-3 days per week, flexibly on the other days.

SAP BODS Principal Data Migration Analyst

Key accountabilities/competencies

• Data Extraction & Analysis:
o Extract data from various source systems (databases, legacy systems, cloud applications, etc.).
o Conduct data profiling to assess data quality and identify discrepancies or gaps.
o Work with business stakeholders to understand data migration requirements and mapping.
• Data Transformation:
o Design and implement data transformations using BODS.
o Develop data flows for complex transformations, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and consistency during migration.
o Apply business rules and logic to transform raw data into the target format.

• Data Loading:
o Develop and execute BODS data jobs to load transformed data into the target system (databases, data warehouses, etc.).
o Validate data integrity post-migration to ensure successful loading into the target system.

• Job Scheduling and Automation:
o Create and schedule BODS jobs for automated data migration processes.
o Ensure jobs run efficiently and within the designated timeline.

• Error Handling and Troubleshooting:
o Identify and resolve issues during the data migration process.
o Perform detailed error analysis and work on debugging BODS jobs and data discrepancies.
o Implement proper logging and monitoring to ensure the smooth operation of jobs.

• Data Quality Assurance:
o Perform data validation checks, ensuring the data loaded in the target system is accurate, complete, and conforms to business rules.
o Collaborate with QA teams to conduct post-migration testing to confirm data integrity.

• Documentation and Reporting:
o Maintain detailed documentation of data migration processes, mappings, and job configurations.
o Prepare migration status reports for stakeholders, including metrics on progress, issues, and resolutions.

• Collaboration:
o Work closely with functional analysts, data lead, and project manager to ensure business requirements are met.
o Participate in design discussions and provide recommendations based on BODS capabilities and best practices.
• Performance Optimization:
o Analyze and optimize the performance of BODS jobs to reduce processing time and enhance efficiency.
o Apply best practices for tuning and improving data loads and transformations.
