About the Role
Our client, a rapidly growing Microsoft-focused consulting firm, is looking for an experienced and driven Channel Business Development Manager to help expand their partner network and drive sales through strategic relationships with Managed Service Providers (MSPs). This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with deep sales experience and a strong understanding of the Microsoft ecosystem.

The successful candidate will bring a proven background in both direct and channel sales, particularly within the Microsoft partner network. You’ll lead from the front, actively hunting new opportunities, and playing a key role in building and maintaining relationships that support long-term growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, onboard, and grow strategic MSP channel partners to drive revenue growth.
  • Leverage your existing network to expand the reach and presence of our client’s Microsoft consulting services.
  • Take a proactive approach to pipeline generation and sales execution, this is a new business focused role.
  • Engage directly with partners and clients to uncover opportunities and close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including technical consultants and marketing teams to align sales and delivery strategies.

About You

  • You have 5+ years' experience in sales or business development within the IT industry, with a strong focus on channel or partner-led models.
  • You understand the Microsoft ecosystem—licensing, cloud solutions, Modern Workplace, AI, Automation and Azure are familiar territory.
  • You have a well-established network within the Managed Services Provider community across Australia.
  • You’re commercially minded, target-driven, and comfortable building trust with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • You’re hands-on—someone who leads by example and thrives on making deals happen.
