Macallan College is seeking qualified and enthusiastic Trainers and Assessors to deliver a range of community services courses at our campuses Australia-wide (Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth).

Macallan College is an established education provider, operating 4 campuses across Australia, with a focus on courses within the Automotive, Business, Hospitality and Construction industries.

We are looking for childcare trainers and assessors to support our growing faculty delivering classroom and practical training to an international cohort in the following qualification(s):

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support

Essential:

CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent or higher)

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support (or equivalent or higher)

CHC43121 Certificate IV in Disability Support (or equivalent or higher)

TAE40110/40116/40121 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or equivalent or higher)

Demonstrated experience and currency of skills in the community services industry

Recent experience teaching in the VET sector

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

A current National Police Clearance, or ability to obtain one

Proficient use of Microsoft Office and Zoom

Demonstrated understanding of RTO operational and legislative requirements

Open driver license.

Desirable:

Strong industry and community networks

Experience delivering training to international students

Experience in use of student and learning management software highly regarded (aXcelerate)

Demonstrated knowledge of CRICOS/ESOS requirements highly regarded.

Key tasks:

Deliver training and assessment to students enrolled in community services qualifications through various delivery modes including classroom.

Engage industry and complete annual industry competency tasks to ensure industry currency

Participate in regular assessment review meetings for the moderation, comparison and evaluation of assessment processes, tools and evidence against competency standards

Comply with our policies and procedures for training and assessment

Accurately maintain records of student progress and assessment

Liaise with industry to assess current needs and ensure best practice

Conduct work placement visits to verify on-the-job performance as required by the qualification training package.
