Metal Fabricator (Welder) – Welland Location

IMPartners is seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator (Welder) to join a well-established business in Welland, SA. This company specialises in high-quality fabrication for fences, balustrades, louvres, skylights, and other architectural details.

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Metal Fabricator (Welder) to assist in the fabrication and assembly of custom architectural metalwork. This is a casual position, with an opportunity to consider permanency after 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

Fabrication and welding of steel, aluminium, and stainless steel components for architectural structures

Reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise fabrication

Cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment

Performing MIG, TIG, and ARC (Stick) welding to industry standards

Ensuring all fabricated components meet quality and safety regulations

Operating machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and rolling machines

Conducting inspections to maintain accuracy, durability, and structural integrity of all fabricated products

Working collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced workshop environment

Qualifications & Experience

Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)

Minimum 5+ years of experience in metal fabrication and welding

Strong understanding of Australian Standards and workplace safety requirements

Experience working with custom architectural metalwork is highly regarded

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines

Relevant licences and tickets (e.g., forklift, EWP, confined spaces) are advantageous

Eligibility

Applicants must already be in Australia and have the right to work, and be able to start either immediately or within 1-2 weeks.
