Lead Test Automation Engineer
Location: Hybrid (2 days in office per week)

About the Role
We're on the hunt for a passionate Test Automation Engineer to join a high-performing, lean quality engineering team. You'll own the automation strategy for high-throughput systems, crafting scalable, reliable automated tests and tooling that underpin our continuous delivery pipelines.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for APIs, UI, backend services and data validation
• Integrate your tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps) to ensure quality in every deployment
• Collaborate with developers, product owners and QA to define acceptance criteria and test approaches
• Write and manage SQL queries to prepare and validate test data
• Contribute to test planning, documentation and risk analysis activities

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in automation scripting using C#, Java or Python
• Hands-on with frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit, Pytest, Robot Framework, RestAssured, Karate or Specmatic
• Familiarity with behaviour-driven tools like SpecFlow, Cucumber or Behave
• Solid API testing experience with Postman, Insomnia or Swagger/OpenAPI
• Strong SQL skills for querying relational databases
• Experience using test management tools (Jira/Xray, TestRail, Zephyr or qTest) and reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports, ReportPortal or Power BI)
• Understanding of transactional processing systems and microservices architectures (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)

Nice-to-Have

• Exposure to event-driven testing or asynchronous systems
• Experience with ML/LLM testing frameworks or OpenTelemetry
• ISTQB certifications (Foundation, Test Automation Engineer or AI Testing)
