Job Description

Newhaul is seeking a Fixed Plant Electrician to join our Port team on a newly introduced even-time roster – 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off designed to give you more choice and better work-life balance. In this role, you’ll play a key part in maintaining and servicing fixed plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Roster and Remuneration:

• Hourly Rate: $69/hr
• Annualised Wage: $150,696 per year + Superannuation + Performance Bonus
• Roster: 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off

Key Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, procedures, and standards; ensure compliance with legislative requirements and workplace health and safety.
• Work Planning & Execution: Plan, prioritise, and execute tasks as per daily work orders, including corrective maintenance and capital works projects.
• Equipment Maintenance & Inspections: Conduct inspections, fault-finding, and testing on fixed plant and associated electrical equipment, including 12V and 24VDC systems and CCTV apparatus.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records, complete log book entries, provide progress updates, and report incidents in a timely manner.
• Supervision & Training: Oversee apprentices, including log book sign-offs, and foster knowledge-sharing within the team.
• Shutdowns & Coordination: Assist with shutdown procedures, LOTO implementation, and liaise with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Housekeeping & Site Maintenance: Ensure site cleanliness, maintain MCC areas, and uphold high housekeeping standards.
• Autonomous & Teamwork Capabilities: Work independently while coordinating with other teams and departments when required.

This is a permanent opportunity, based in Geraldton, working 12-hour shifts on a 7 Days, 7 Off, 7 Nights, 7 Off Roster.
