Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Chef to join our team full-time. You will be responsible for planning, organising, and overseeing the preparation and cooking of all menu items while ensuring quality, consistency and adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organise, and supervise preparation of menu items, including charcoal-grilled meats, rice dishes and salads.

• Develop and update the menu based on seasonal ingredients, customer preferences and business goals.

• Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring adherence to food safety, hygiene and occupational health standards.

• Manage inventory, stock control and minimise waste.

• Monitor food and labor costs to ensure effective operations.

• Train new staff on cooking techniques, recipes, and kitchen procedures.

• Maintain high presentation and quality standards across all dishes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a commercial kitchen.

• Relevant trade qualifications (e.g Certificate III/IV in commercial cookery).

• Expertise in Mediterranean cuisine and charcoal grilling techniques.

• Strong leadership, time management and organisational skills.

• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and workplace health & safety standards.
