We’re currently looking for a warm, passionate, and flexible team member who’s ready to bring both kitchen magic and classroom energy to our newly refurbished Centre. If you love creating nourishing meals just as much as you enjoy helping little minds grow — this is your role.

👩‍🍳 About the Role:

This is a hybrid position. For the first 2 months, you’ll work full-time in the kitchen, preparing delicious and nutritious meals for our children. After that, your role will shift to a casual hybrid arrangement, splitting your time between:

As Centre Cook:

Preparing fresh, wholesome meals and snacks daily

Catering to diverse dietary needs, allergies, and cultural preferences

Keeping the kitchen organised and compliant with food safety standards

Creating a warm, mealtime experience for children and educators

As an Educator:

Supporting children’s learning through play-based experiences

Building strong, meaningful relationships with children and families

Working collaboratively with a supportive and passionate team

Bringing curiosity, joy, and a sense of adventure into every interaction

🧡 About You:

You genuinely love working with children — in both the kitchen and the classroom

You’re creative, hands-on, and ready to roll up your sleeves wherever needed

You bring positive energy to the room, and aren’t afraid to go the extra mile

You align with Froliq’s Reggio Emilia-inspired approach to curiosity and discovery

✅ Requirements:

Cert III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or actively working towards)

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Current Working with Children Check (Employee)

First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification

Experience preparing meals in a childcare or similar environment preferred
