Tasmanian Helicopters owns and operates a fleet of 11 rotary aircraft, offering a broad range of services across Tasmania with bases at Latrobe, Riverside, Cambridge, and Cradle Mountain.
Tasmanian Helicopters is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic, capable, and reliable person to join our engineering department at our CASA approved CAR30 maintenance facility based at our Latrobe premises.
The successful applicant will become part of a team which works in an often-challenging work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities
Reports to the Managing Director, and Chief Engineer and adheres to Company policies and procedures.
To support the flying operations of Tasmanian Helicopters and its subsidiaries by maintaining the Company’s fleet of rotary wing aircraft in accordance with the manufacturers’ requirements and the CASA approved maintenance manual.
Fleet consists of the following aircraft types:
· AS350 B2, AS350 B3, H125 – Arriel 1 and 2 engine experience
· Bell 206 – Rolls Royce 250 Series engine experience
· Bell 212 – PT6 engine experience
· Robinson R44 Raven II
Experience working with these aircraft types is desirable but not essential.
· Complete relevant paperwork associated with maintenance activities.
· Undertake and maintain all required training in accordance with the Company training policies and procedures.
· Possess effective communication and co-operation skills.
· Support operational needs of Tasmanian Helicopters.
Skills – Person Specification
Educational/Vocational Qualifications
Hold or working towards an Aircraft Engineer Licence
· Category A3 Licence
· Category A4 Licence
· Category B1.3 Licence
· Category B1.4 Licence
First Aid Certificate – Level 2
Living within close proximity to our Latrobe base
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (desirable)
· Computer competency in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel
· Knowledge of computer systems and relevant databases
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team and to deadlines
Special Conditions
· Statewide travel is an essential requirement of this position
· Flexibility for working days and h ours is essential
Salary and Terms of Employment
Salary range between $77,000 - $87,000 per annum excluding superannuation.
This position is Permanent Full Time and is subject to a 3-month probationary period and annual performance reviews in accordance with our Company policies and procedures.
