About the role:
Under the direction of the Team Leader, the PSP Case Worker will assist in identifying, establishing, and supporting placements for children and young people who are clients of the service in the Albury and surrounding areas. The PSP Case Worker will provide support to the clients and their carers in accordance with Woomera Aboriginal Corporations' policies and procedures and statutory and legislative requirements.
The candidate would be able to monitor and assess the needs of children and young people in placements and organise ongoing support systems where necessary. They will work collaboratively with the child and young person and their carers to develop and review case plans that include specific and achievable goals.

Essential Skills and Knowledge:
Minimum Cert IV Community Services or related.
Previous experience in community services, mental health, and/or child protection or related.
Sound knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and/or experience working in or for Aboriginal communities.
Demonstrated experience working in trauma informed care and practice.
Well-developed interpersonal skills, proven experience in report writing and record management, and the ability to problem solve, negotiate, and resolve concerns and conflict.
Proven analytical and assessment skills.
Proven ability to multi-task and prioritise often competing workloads to meet reporting requirements within set timeframes.
A current satisfactory NSW Working with Children's Check
Ability to provide on call after hours services as rostered.
A current satisfactory National Police Check
A current driver's license.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
Previous experience working in Aboriginal welfare and child protection areas.
Previous experience and knowledge working with children and young people in Out of Home Care.
