Your new career
The stormwater infrastructure team provides a key function within the Assets and Engineering Department which is part of the Placemaking and Environment Division.

The Stormwater team provides expert advice and sets strategy regarding Council’s Stormwater infrastructure network enabling the optimisation of the network’s performance and resilience. The Stormwater Infrastructure Engineer forms a key part of this unit.

Key selection criteria
Mandatory qualifications, experience and requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification (qualification check will be conducted).
  • Experience in municipal or civil engineering field of minimum two years
  • Registered Engineer or working towards accreditation
  • Experience in Local Government.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, recognised professional
  • A current Working With Children Check
  • You have the permanent right to live and work in Australia
  • Police Check results that are suitable for this position (will be arranged by Surf Coast Shire Council).
    A complete international criminal history check is required if the person has worked or lived overseas for any period of time OR a complete national criminal history check is required if the person has only ever worked in Australia.
