Are you a skilled civil engineer with a passion for public infrastructure and asset management? We're seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a dynamic team delivering high-impact projects across bridges, marine structures, stormwater systems, and public lighting. This is a full-time contract role commencing ASAP through to the end of November 2025, with the potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Your new role
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you'll play a key role in the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure renewal and maintenance programs. You'll contribute to the review of asset management plans, manage stormwater and public lighting applications, and support the development of engineering designs for a range of public assets.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct site inspections and scope civil works for drainage, bridges, and marine structures.
- Review and manage stormwater discharge applications and integrated water management designs.
- Assess and approve public lighting designs and upgrades.
- Collect and analyse asset condition data for infrastructure planning.
- Prepare reports and communicate with stakeholders, including residents and developers.
- Use systems such as GIS (Compass), Asset Master, Pathway, and Salesforce for asset tracking and customer communication.
What you'll need to succeed
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience in infrastructure engineering, ideally within local government or public sector
- Strong knowledge of asset management principles and infrastructure design standards
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Familiarity with systems such as GIS, Asset Master, Pathway, and Salesforce
Please note: This role requires full-time attendance in the office, five days per week, with occasional site visits as needed. You'll also benefit from a monthly Accrued Day Off (ADO).
