Brighton Recreational Centre is a not-for-profit community organisation with a proud history of serving the Bayside community since 1969. We offer a wide range of programs for all ages including gymnastics, art, fitness, wellness and more, all within our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility.
We’re on the lookout for a creative and driven Digital Marketing and Social Media Coordinator to join our team in a casual role (16 hours/week). This is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the digital voice of a well-loved community centre and create content that makes a difference.
About the Role
Reporting to the Marketing and Programs Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, creating and managing engaging digital content across social media platforms, email campaigns and digital advertising. You’ll work collaboratively with program managers, coaches and external partners to showcase the amazing things happening at Brighton Rec.
This hands-on role requires someone who can balance creativity with analytical thinking and thrives in a community-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage content across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
Create high-quality visual and video content showcasing programs and activities.
Coordinate email marketing campaigns including segmentation, automation and testing.
Coordinate the Centre’s digital marketing channels including SEO and paid advertising campaigns to increase awareness and engagement and to drive traffic and participation.
Monitor, measure and report on digital campaign effectiveness and performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve results.
Collaborate with team members across the organisation to tell meaningful stories.
What You’ll Bring
Degree in Marketing, Business or a related field.
Experience creating and managing social media content (particularly Meta platforms and TikTok).
Strong skills in Canva, Mailchimp and Google Analytics.
Ability to take initiative, be collaborative and work in a dynamic team.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
The right to work in Australia.
Highly Desirable
First Aid and CPR certification (HLTAID 002/003 & HLTAID 001)
The Details
Casual position: 16 hours per week, over 2–3 days (days negotiable)
Location: Brighton Recreational Centre, 93 Outer Crescent, Brighton VIC
Rate: $41.50/hour + super
On-site role in a brand-new facility with a friendly, supportive team
