Deadly Choices is a preventative health program of the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH). The program aims to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to make healthy choices for themselves and their families. In partner with local Community Controlled Health Services (CCHS), Deadly Choices has a strong focus on Healthy Lifestyle encourages mob to regularly access CCHS and complete an annual 715 Health Checks.

About the Role?
The primary purpose of the position is to ensure effective data management, systems and capture processes are in place to improve the quality, availability and accuracy of Deadly Choices program data to inform effective program evaluation, reporting and research initiatives.
Within this role, you will be required to perform the following duties:

  • Ongoing development and review of data management systems and application
  • Ongoing evaluation of program processes and outcomes and support of related research projects to inform program planning
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in data collection and processes
  • Manage the compilation and reporting of DC activity against agreed indicators,
  • Assist in the ongoing evaluation of program processes and outcomes and related research projects to inform continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate support for regions and teams in the timely management of all data collection activities; ensuring efficient procedures and support procedures are in place


About You?

  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld)
  • Current Criminal History Check
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis and data modelling skills

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  • Demonstrated experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities
