About the Role
As a Occupational Therapist, you will work with a growing team of Occupational Therapists focussed on delivering high-quality, person-centred care designed to support clients to achieve their goals. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team focussed on delivering services across the age spectrum. Your caseload will align wherever possible with your clinical preferences, expertise and goals.
Key responsibilities
Client Assessment: conduct comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments and reports and develop personalised evaluations and treatment plans.
Intervention Planning: design and implement evidence-based therapeutic programs to enhance clients' ability to perform daily activities and improve their quality of life.
Collaboration: work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, to ensure coordinated and holistic care for clients.
Documentation: maintain accurate and timely records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
Quality Improvement: participate in quality assurance and improvement activities to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.
Research and Evidence-Based Practice: stay updated on the latest research and incorporate this into the daily practice of both yourself and the Occupational Therapy team members you support.
Key selection criteria
Our ideal candidate will need to hold/demonstrate:
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy
Demonstrated experience working with clients funded via the NDIS and preparing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCA’s) is desirable
Experience in providing paediatric as well as adult therapeutic care desirable
Current AHPRA registration
National Police Check
NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
Current First Aid & CPR certificate
Excellent written communication, time management, and organisational skills
A genuine passion for making a positive difference in clients’ lives
An ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
A commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
A current Australian driver’s license, appropriate insurance, and a reliable vehicle
Right to work in Australia
