- Level 5, $80,236 - $90,420 (pro rata) p.a., plus up to 17% employer superannuation
- Part-time (80% FTE / 29 hrs per week), ongoing appointment
The Opportunity
Are you passionate about health and safety and enjoy working in a supportive, student-focused environment? We’re seeking a proactive Technician (Fit Testing) to coordinate and deliver our respirator fit testing program for students preparing for placement. In this dynamic role, you’ll take the lead on maintaining and improving testing processes, ensuring compliance with Australian Standards and university policies. Your strong communication skills and collaborative approach will help foster a positive team culture, and during peak times, you'll also support casual staff to ensure smooth operations.
You will
- Coordinate and implement the UniSC’s Respiratory Fit Testing program;
- Provide a high level of compliance;
- Enhance processes using continuous improvement and best practices; and
- Create an outstanding client experience in line with the goals of the University strategic plan.
About you
You’re an excellent communicator with strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills that allow you to build professional relationships with ease and contribute effectively to reporting tasks. You’re highly organised, with a talent for troubleshooting and juggling competing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. With sound judgement and a proactive mindset, you approach sensitive matters with discretion and always maintain confidentiality, using your initiative to support smooth, efficient operations.
You will possess:
- Completion of a degree, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education or training;
- Relevant technical experience with a commitment to providing a high level of quality client service and compliance. Experience or training in respirator fit testing is an advantage;
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a sound understanding and apply organisational policies procedures, Australian Standards, work area guidelines, work instructions to operations;
- Effective skills in administration support including scheduling, bookings, orders, rosters and records management;
- Well -developed computer literacy, data base operation, collation/analysis of data sets and record keeping; and
- Hold a current driver’s licence.
