The Role
We are seeking a confident and enthusiastic individual to join our Mackay clinic, as a Respiratory Technician. This is an entry level position, that will see you primarily completing spirometry testing according to current TSANZ standards. However, the right candidate will be able to broaden their scope of work to completing preliminary medical assessments with training provided.

You will provide exceptional client support as well as assist with administrative tasks. Responsibilities include:

Spirometry Testing Pre and Post trials

Preliminary assessment of client to complete testing

Ensuring calibration and equipment is current

Maintaining records

Liaise with clients and staff

Basic administration duties

Completing medical paperwork

Conducting preliminary medical assessments

Specimen collection (including the supervision of Drug and Alcohol testing) * Please note full training is provided.

About you:

You will have:

Completed at least an undergraduate degree with a Science background

An interest in physiology

An interest in learning new skills

Current CPR certificate

Ability to maintain appropriate training certificates as required

Excellent organisation and time management skills with great attention to detail

The ability to work autonomously, or in a team environment where required

Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group

Can-do and proactive attitude
