The Opportunity

We are seeking an early-career lawyer (1–3 years PAE) to join our growing team. You will work under close mentorship from senior practitioners and contribute meaningfully to a diverse range of matters including:

Personal injury and institutional abuse claims (under PIPA and Redress)

Civil litigation in State and Federal jurisdictions

Business structuring, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions

Property law, disputes and conveyancing

This is a dynamic, hands-on role suited to a lawyer with strong legal drafting ability, attention to detail, and a desire to develop expertise across multiple practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

Draft legal documents, including pleadings, affidavits, advices, settlement deeds, and client correspondence

Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries and memoranda

Assist in managing client files across personal injury (PIPA, Redress), contractual disputes, and corporate advisory

Attend court appearances, mediations, and conferences with or on behalf of senior lawyers

Liaise with clients, medical experts, barristers, regulators, and opposing parties

Support business development initiatives and knowledge management activities within the firm

Selection Criteria

Essential

Admitted to practice as a solicitor in Australia with a current practising certificate

Demonstrated understanding of legal processes in Queensland or New South Wales

Excellent legal writing and communication skills

Ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced legal environment

Professional integrity and client-focused approach

Desirable

Exposure to personal injury litigation, Redress, or PIPA processes

Understanding of corporate and commercial law principles

Familiarity with LEAP, PEXA, and Microsoft 365

Commitment to trauma-informed legal practice
