We are looking for allied health clinicians including juniors, to be trained as Behaviour Support Clinicians and Psychotherapists to join our Behaviour Support and Therapy team.
The Allied Health Graduates we are looking for are:
Social Workers
Developmental Educators
Psychotherapists (with a masters or a minimum 3-4 year full time degree)
Occupational Therapists
Registered Psychologists
We will not accept:
Any diplomas as primary certification
Behavioural Science degrees
Support workers without a relevant degree as stated above
We are looking for several clinicians and juniors who want to learn the skill of behaviour support. Our therapists work across various sites throughout metro Adelaide, including Fleurieu, Adelaide Hills, and Gawler (and surroundings suburbs). Each therapist is allocated to a region to prevent unnecessary travel. We are looking for clinicians who can be mobile, and primarily based in the north suburbs and out of our northern office in Salisbury. There will be some travel to the south, to our head office, required for induction and training in the first 3-6 months until the clinician is established.
Whilst there are opportunities for clinicians with a range of experience levels from graduates, juniors (1 years out), to more established clinicians (2-3 years), we are particularly looking for junior/graduates clinician who have completed a placement and/or have worked in a therapeutic setting delivering mental health or NDIS services. Or a clinician who has experience working with complex presentations and situations.
The training program will involve:
Registering with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission as a provisional Behaviour Support Clinician
Training in Marte Meo communication development
Support Coordination
Training in behaviour and behaviour management interventions
Training in Positive Behaviour Support Plans and Functional Behaviour Assessments
Training in psychotherapy, client-centered, trauma informed practices
We are looking for a clinician who is driven and able to think outside the box, preferably with experience as a therapist/counsellor supporting people with a disability and/or mental health diagnosis.
The successful candidate will be someone who can work flexibly within changing environments and has an interest in psychotherapy (including attachment-based and trauma-informed therapeutic models of care) and an understanding of how systems impact client outcomes.

Selection Criteria:
The successful candidate will have the following:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and professional registration (Social Work/AASW, Developmental Education/DEAI, Registered Psychologist/Ahpra, Occupational Therapy/Ahpra, Master or Bachelor in psychotherapy/PACFA/ACA etc.);
Skills in working with people with a disability/dual diagnosis or mental health conditions;
Skills in supporting clients in complex circumstances and or with challenging behaviours;
DCSI Screening Clearances/NDIS Worker Screening Check/police check
First aid certificate;
Driver's license;
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect-Education and Care mandatory notification training certification.
Desirable experience and certification:
A desire to be registered or existing registration as a Behaviour Support Clinician with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
Previous experience in either mental health or working as a Behaviour Support Clinician.
